Twu np spring 2015 denton

Close- I just got accepted to TWU's FNP program in Houston :) I was looking for anyone who also was starting in January.

Awesome Ladydarla! Houston campus too? I'm not sure if I'm doing part or full-time. I probably will take two classes, so whatever my advisor recommends is what I'll do. How about you?

I'm going to Houston campus too! I got accepted into the adult acute care program. I think all the core classes are the same for everyone the first few semesters. Then we start specializing. I'm going to go part time (2 classes) for now and work full time. That might change though when clinicals/preceptorship begins.

Awesome! Where are you working? I just resigned to pursue school and take care of my two daughters. When do you plan to talk to your advisor and register. Anyone know how many students there are? It's great to have hound others who are starting at the same time

I'm working in the med center right now. I have no idea how many students there will be, and how many to each specialty. A few of my coworkers are in the program, each one a different specialty...others, a different school. However, the ones at TWU told me to take Patho and Theory since those are both pre-reqs for Assessment and Research. So, that's my plan...unless the adviser registers us.

Thanks for the advice, I don't know anyone at twu so I'm really going to have to trust what my advisor says and also what information I gather here.

Yes I'm going to Houston campus! I'll be taking it easy this first semester so I'll just be taking one class. I did hear that Patho and Theory are the best ones to take together though. The only one that everyone really recommends taking by itself is assessment.

I went to TWU undergrad and the advisor usually don't register you. Idk when they're gonna contact us =/

Hey tnguyen2012. I checked web advisor first. If that says accepted, then you'll get a physical letter in abt a week.

Has anyone heard from their advisor yet?

I emailed the advisor and was sent instructions on what classes to register for along with other instructions. I have registered for Advanced Patho & Theory.
