Hi, i also applied for the FNP, for Fall of 2019, dallas campus. My doc. Status Says “awaiting dept review “ I applied way back in Nov. don’t know when they will start reviewing the applications. How was your GPA? Mine is 3.6, I don’t have up to a year clinical experience as a nurse. I feel like i might not get accepted, due to the competitive nature of the program. Did you apply to other schools? Lets keep each other posted.
Hi Luchy! My status says "awaiting dept review" as well. I applied sometime around the end of December/early January. My BSN gpa is currently a 3.85 but I am also finishing up my final semester with my bsn too! I just applied to the Dallas campus! How about yourself? Have you heard anything about the program from other people?

Well I called the program cordinator, and she confirmed that letters will start going out in the next 2 weeks. So hopefully we hear something soon! You have a very competitive GPA. I’m sure you will get accepted. Lets keep in touch! Did you apply to the dallas campus?

As far as hearing from other people, i heard is a good program. I have a friend, who graduated from their program 3 years ago. She too also confirmed that the program prepares you so very well for the board. So I’m hoping all will go well. How many years of nursing experience do you have?
Thats awesome, most of the people I know went thru UTA. I don't really know much about the TWU program so thats reassuring! And yes lets keep in touch!
I have a little over a year of nursing experience, hopefully thats enough!!! How about yourself?

Yes that’s enough. I have a year too. Didn’t want to spend the rest of my life in bedside nursing. I mean those who have 30 plus years of experience, I applaud them, but certainly not for me. That’s why I’m going straight for my NP. I did my BSN at UTA, but bc I didn’t have 2yrs of clinical experience, that’s why I’m not doing it through them. Good luck to us!
I completely agree!! I could not do bedside forever, its hard work. Good luck to you too!!!

How much is the program? I dont see it listed. Only 1 campus says it s a hybrid online-face to face. Are all the sites this way or some are online only?

TWU is the cheapest of all the NP programs in Dallas, at least cheaper than UTA. The cost is about 20-25k. You can also call the school to make an inquiry. A credit load is about $350 or a little more excluding textbooks; unless the cost increased this year.
