I have a question regarding the NCLEX. I was wondering when do you take it? how long after graduating. Me and my family are planning vacations in Poland after I graduate but I'm not sure when my NCLEX is going to be, and if it's a good idea at all since everybody else will be looking for a job too. How big are my chances of getting hired by Trinitas Hospital after graduating from their program??

I'm starting 231 in September, any input appreciated!

From what i know/heard...the graduates who applied to Trinitas hospital were accepted and started their orientation on the second week of July. You can take your NCLEX immediately after you graduate. BUT, your NURE232 tuition includes the Rutgers NCLEX review, i believe...so might as well take it. personally, i didnt think it was necessary.

So do ou know when the Rutgers review it? I know it's pretty early to think about all that but the plane tickets are much cheaper if they are bought sooner. Just trying to figure out when would be the perfect time to go. By saying I can take NCLEX right after I graduate do you mean like a week or two after? Thanks so much for you answers.

Oh and when do graduates apply for the positions at Trinitas? After the NCLEX or while still in school? thanks :)

well, when i had the rutgers review in the summer, it started the last week of May to first week of June. Yes, you can take your NCLEX immediatley after u graduate, but with all the process of applying for the NCLEX itsself and NJ BON, it may take a week or two until u can schedule for a seating. As for applying to Trinitas after u graduate, the last 2 weeks you will get all the information needed as the head of human resources visits as well as a visit from a nurse manager from the hospital. Usually you can start applying for a position at the hospital before taking your NCLEX. if u pass/fail the NCLEX will be the final deciding factor.

thank you do much. You've been very helpful. I'm sure it will be all explained to us once we're in 232 but I just hope I get there with no delays! So are you employed at Trinitas? Or did you decided to go somwhere else, also is it hard to get into the floor you want?

No, i decided not to work there because their Bridge program was too soon and i needed to relax and take a break before the stress returns. But the thing is it's good to apply to Trinitas because they accept their students and u get hired easily, especially since many hospitals have closed down in NJ and quite a few hospitals are not accepting new grads. I'm currently on the job hunt, and have an interview next week =D
