Travel nursing

Ok, So I passed my Nclex. Got my RN license and now looking for an urgent job. I have worked for 7 years in Trauma unit in my country. Now I need a travel nursing job for 3 months in California to raise some money to visit my country in November. Without any specific specialty training but Trauma and ER experience, can I still get a travel nursing job? Any recommendations?

    Were you a nurse previously? If not, it may be almost impossible to get a travel assignment. The best thing you can do is get a staff job and get thoroughly indoctrinated in American hospital practices and culture. Travel assignments expect you to be running after two days of minimal orientation. That is tough for most American nurses. Do you have a green card?

    Yeah, I am a permanent resident. I am an RN. I've worked as an RN for about 7 to 8 years in the Trauma, OR, OP, ICU and many other departments. But spent about 6 years in the ER. During that period, I excelled and even received a citation of honor for excellent delivery of health care.
