Transfer Department

Hello , need advice on transferring. Just started at my new dept. , 3 mos. to be exact. Saw a posting on a different dept. that Im interested in. Reasons : 4 day , 10 hrs shift. My current position is 5 days , 8 hours. Also my dept , my boss wants to cross train her employees to all areas of her dept. and I feel like you get thrown everywhere. I just wanted a fix area to work on. Thoughts? much appreciated.

You'll need to refer to your facility's policy to see if you're even eligible for transfer. Some require a certain amount of time spent on a new unit prior to being able to transfer again.

Yep, also, if you're part of a union, you will need to look at your CBA to see what it says about transferring.
