Transfer credits

Has anyone heard of any schools that are good about accepting clinical hour transfers? I've heard some say it's not possible, but I've also heard it is. With all of the nursing schools in the US, I would think there would be at least one that would accept some prior clinical coursework. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

The main reason for clinical hours not transferring has to do with curriculum development. While the state BON sets what must be covered, the school is free to arrange that information as it chooses. Chances are, no two schools are going t cover the same information in the same classes. I had a standalone 4 credit pharmacy course that was a co-requisite with my chronic health issues course. The school across town didn't separate pharmacology into its own course but rather taught pharmacology alongside associated clinical issues. Had I attended the school across town for part of nursing school and then transferred to the school I graduated from, I would have missed all of that pharmacology and likely not passed. That is why it is rare (if not downright impossible) to find a school that will accept credits from another program. The only scenario where I find it likely would be if a student is transferring campuses of a larger university system.
