What do you guys think traditional or accelerated. Will i burn out in the accelerated program or will it be better to have the summer breaks to rest. I want an honest opinion.

We are in what was a traditional BSN program, but it was "accelerated" to go through the summers. I thought, "what a great idea!" This summer has been really difficult to keep on task and stick with things. I am also disappointed that, although we will graduate next Aug of 2010, we will not be able to apply for the extern programs the local hospitals have in the summer for graduating seniors. I have 12 months to go, I know that is doable. If I were you, I would look at the cost, reputation of the program, talk to some of the attendees if possible, and go from there. Good luck!!!

There are some threads here about folks' experiences in and opinions of accelerated BSN programs, and how well-prepared (or not) graduates felt to enter practice. You may want to do a search and review those in making a decision.
Best wishes for your journey!
