diprovan is mixed in 100ml. How may mg are needed to equal 10/mg/m? Calculate the rate on the infusion pump of Diprovan using the range 5-50 mcg/kg/min.
order: diprivan drip titrate 5-50mcg/kg/min for sedation
pt weight: 90 kg
say whaaaat! lol

You need to know how much diprovan is mixed into the 100ml (either in mg or mcg).
I'm not sure what you mean by "10/mg/m"

Yep. You need a mass per volume, not just a volume with an unspecified mass.

you have 100 ml of the solution, how much medication is needed for there to be 10 mg/ml? Its a ratio problem.
for the second part figure out how much is needed for the extremes of the limit. so you would figure out for 5 and then again for 50.
That should be enough to get you started. Posting what you have tried and having us show you where are getting confused and im sure someone will be willing to help you. But please try it yourself first.
thanks you guys! i meant 10/mg/ml, btw. But i managed to work through it and we went over it in lab today. Thank you so much for your time ! Have a good one....until next time! God bless.
