TIPS NEEDED for NCLEX..

Hi everyone,

I will be taking my Nclex RN this feb 10. Im so nervous. I've had a review class here in chicago and I'm answering test questions in SAUNDERS. I just started answering Kaplan since almost all of the new RN's in here used KAPLAN. I've heard that most questions were SATA.. I am just NOT GOOD IN SATA..

Can anyone give me an overview of what kind of test and usual topics that we're asked in Nclex? like I've heard there's a lot of infectious diseases.. Is that all? I graduated 2008 and I just started my review last November. I dont think I can cover up everything by February...

Please.. Please.. somebody HELP!!!!

The NCLEX can be over anything. Just do as many questions as you can before your test and make sure you go over any topics that you don't understand. For SATA questions I just used true or false to answer each statement. Know your infection control and know how to prioritize patients, I had a lot of that on the test. Good luck!

Thanks a bunch ash!! Im really anxious these days. I dont know which topic to read first or if i should answer practice questions.

Thanks for your advice!!

Ncsbn has a 3 week review course with lots of questions that I used to prepare for my nclex this past week and I passed with 75 questions!!! Good luck

If you feel weak in content, then you should go over content. I studied one topic a day and did questions on it. Kaplan helped me a lot. I made sure to write down anything I didn't understand and went over it.

I dont think I will have time to finish the 3 weeks since I only have 15 days before my exam.. Was there a lot of questions in there that's similar with Nclex questions?

Ok ash. By the way, did you have questions regarding Ekg and lung sounds??

I had three EKG questions, so know your EKG's and the medications you would give for them. I didn't have any questions regarding lung sounds.

Dang!!! Thats my weakest point.. guess i have to read that over and over again.. is your ekg from renal or cardio?

Yeah just keep reviewing it, it was cardio ekg's. Good luck!

Do you think ncsbn 3 week review course questions are similar to the real nclex questions? are they easier or harder than the real ones?

I found them to be quite comparable. I really think they helped me a lot :)

You don't have to follow their map for the 3 weeks. I mainly used the site for the questions. It gives you over 1000 questions
