Hi all! I have my first interview for a camp nurse position coming up and would love any advice. I currently only have adult ICU experience, so I would especially love tips on how to spin that to apply specifically to camp situations. (I do have several years of camp counselor experience previously, however.) What are good questions to ask of them as well? Thanks in advance ?

Good luck on your interview!
I would say just be honest and straight forward about your work experience, and ask a TON of questions. You want to know what you are getting into both in terms of the work and the living arrangements. Don't hesitate to ask about time off arrangements, too. Will there be a supervising nurse conducting the interview? If not, I'd asking if you can be put in contact with that person, to ask nursing specific questions.

ICU experience can be applicable to the camp setting in several ways... think about things like being able to think clearly in an emergency, great assessment skills, ability to multitask. All of those are so relevant to camp nursing. What personality traits help you in your current nursing position... those translate to the camp nursing world.
Good luck in your interview! Camp nursing can be amazing!
