Tips for EC A&P and Micro exams =)

:idea:A couple people have asked me before and I want to pass along what helped me with A&P and Micro through EC!

Micro: vangonotes.com - do a search for the micro textbook- you can purchase the audio lectures through that website and download it to your mp3 player and computer. They go over all the "tough topics" and I REALLY feel like it was instrumental to getting an A on that exam  I also ready Microbiology Demystified and it broke down everything that made it easier to understand

A&P: vangonotes.com (yes i love this website!) - do a search for the A&P textbook and download the audio lectures. Again I REALLY feel like this is what helped me pass this exam! I got a B on it! I also did youtube videos of the body stuctures and functions as well as taking the end of chapter questions/quizzes!

Hope this helps, and add to the tips for others just starting! =) Good luck

Hello Tasha! I was on the vangonotes website and it brought up two audio books for microbiology, could you tell me which one did you use? They have an 10th and 9th edition. I just want to make sure I'm purchasing the right one and searched for the right book. Thank you so much for your time.

I used the Vangonotes for Micro also and I used Tortora's 10th edition. Seriously the best study tool for this test, I passed with an A and I failed Micro at a community college. Also the EC practice exams are very helpful :-)

Thanks so much Beachnurse! I'm behind my scheduling due to finances but I hope to get on track soon.

I have listened to the vango notes like 3 times and read through some of the clep in weak areas and still don't want to test yet.

i had the 9th edition, but would use the newest edition that's availible (which ever book EC is currently using! =)

MsPC- get Microbiology Demystified and read it though (like 100 pages i think, super easy read!) And if you listened to the vangonotes, listen one more time as well...TAKE THE EXAM... =) you will be FINE!!!

I found it helpful to get ahold of TCN module for the A&P and Micro both. I bought both modules used on ebay, and that was all I used for both exams...Passed em with "B"s :) So check ebay too. I just finished Micro and will be passing my book along soon too...Now on to the rest of those darn nursing modules LOL
