Credits to the owner who have written this. I am posting this as my basis to keep tract of my application.
This isn't exactly my experience cause I haven't received my decision letter yet but this is based on 4 people I know that are now in the UK. And this might be a good reference for people interested to apply for UK
no IELTS yet? have 1 year hospital experience? then..
look for an Employer through an agency (they might shoulder your IELTS UKVI, CBT examinations, but this varies among different employers) In the Philippines, there are lots of agencies and mostly have a weekly interview with different employers under NHS Trust and other Private Hospitals. 1-3 days
already have an Employer? confident with your English Language Skills?
BOOK your UKVI IELTS Achieve a band score for each category with atleast 7. Unlucky? Re-sit your IELTS but book now with the regular IELTS and make sure to pass it this time.
1-2 months
Register under NMC: Overseas RegistrationYou will receive an e-mail stating that you have passed the Eligibility blah blah.. Within 24hours
BOOK your CBT NMC will prompt you to book your CBT under Pearson Vue and they are the ones to provide you the username and password all you have to do is assign the date and venue where you want to sit the exam and pay. £130 (Within 24-48 hours). Review time for CBT (give it a month or two)
FULL Application and Assessment Once you passed the CBT, you will then receive an e-mail from NMC prompting you to pay £140 to gain access to the downloadable, barcoded forms and the online application form. Fill out that online form and make sure the all input you've made are correct and the same with what you've placed in your downloaded forms.
Reference Forms 1 and 2 - done in a day or a week at max
Form to accompany Transcript of training - 1-2 weeks
Registration Authority Verification 1-3 weeks
Accomplished all the forms? then send them all through FedEx or DHL. Documents will be received by NMC within 3-7 days depending where your location is. Don't loose the tracking numbers of all your packs.
All will be scanned and uploaded after 10-15 days upon receipt. Once all documents are reflected on the portal, congratulations, your now on the assessment queue. With the case of my friends and acquaintances it only took them 3-7 days to actually receive their decision letter. With my case, it's been 2 weeks and still no sign of it and there is this 'more information required - feedback' stated on top of the table of my documents but the NMC Call Centre just said to just ignore it (reassuring, right?not!). And I heard one that said she received hers, 3 months after! like whaaaaaaaat?! Anyways,..
Once you have your decision letter already. Inform your Agency/International Agency/Employer that you already have your DL. Then they would let you go through the medical and TB test all done within a day and they'd be the one to book your OSCE (I'm not sure bout this).
Certificate of Sponsorship will be released once you have your result with your medical but this depends with the employer you have. Some release it just 3 days after some even longer, a month at max (just being optimistic). Then your agency would most probably handle for your Visa Application and you'd just be given a date for your Embassy Appearance. Within a week your visa will be released some even just a day but had to pay extra fees. Give it a week or two and then you'd be flying out of your country! To sum it up, it would take 6 months - a year depending on the pace you comply the requirements.
Hope this helps all the readers out there cause it did help me.
