Tweety a break from social media can be helpful

Stars glad you got the banking stuff done

Yesterday was a pleasant day. Did bird watching in the morning. Did some shopping later, then some laundry and some baking. Made cornbread with the cornmeal I got while at the reunion. Had storms in the evening but they weren't as bad as predicted.

Today back to work, will get started early to go through all the emails and review everything that happened while I was away, which always takes a fair amount of time. Hopefully I won't have to stay late. Think I may have a brief meeting

Will be a bit warmer today, upper 70s, no rain expected

Gonna be a hot time in the ol' town today, 90 degrees. Not sure about the humidity. I woke up at 6:30 AM and fed Tinker, made my first cup'o'java, and back in bed, dozed off in 15 minute increments until now, which is 7:45. I think I am finally waking up. Legs not so bad this morning, knees aching but no 'screaming' pains, thankfully. I just remembered how I used to complain to Mom, "My eggs lake." to which she replied, "It's growing pains." I am hopeful about continuing with packing stuff again today, but we'll see what we see when we see it! Have a good'n everybody, and I'll check back in later on this afternoon or evening.

Howdy, all.

I'm very happy to have my little site visit completed. I knew it wasn't something to worry about - but just getting everything wrangled together was enough to cause some stress. Hubs continues to ache from his shingles. Yesterday we celebrated our 37th anniversary. (the only celebratory thing I did was pick up steaks to grill, but at least we did that).

Hubs has for some time been watching the stray cats that would hang out near the dumpster at the apartment complex across the street. The last couple of days he has been putting food out for them, and this morning, there they were -- 2 cats in our yard. I know what comes of this. But I am soft-hearted, too. I haven't seen one of the hospital cats in a few weeks. The other was here yesterday but one of the employees who regularly feeds them says she thinks this one is sick -- she isn't eating much and has lost a significant amount of weight.

My book club meets tonight and I'm determined to go, barring any major disruptions. We are discussing the Pompeii book.

My neck is a little sore today. Youngest ds and I went for a dune buggy ride yesterday and there was lots of jostling and bouncing, but it was fun. The driver took us along the beach and we saw an osprey dive into the surf and catch a fish. Later we drove to Coos Bay and explored the waterfront, at at food trucks, and visited another lighthouse. After dark we visited the Umpqua Lighthouse that we toured 2 days ago. It has a unique red and white alternating light that is beautiful at night. We may explore Florence today, checking out souvenir and candy shops.

Tonight's movie will NOT be 'Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang' I am in a different head-space tonight , and not prepared to get sweetnessed-out by a cheery musical with Dick Van Dyke, as much as I like him at times.

I have chosen 'White House Down', because I have never seen it.The first thing I've noticed is that Channing Tatum has HAIR. (2013)) Wonder why he started shaving his head in the first place? Oh well, don't actually care much; just curious.
