I have taken A&P 2 this summer (a 5 week summer course) although, it is a lot of information I loved being able to have it done and out of the way in five weeks. So, for those that have taken microbiology or are currently taking it what do you all recommend? What did you like best and why? I'm wondering if I should take it in the Fall or just wait until next summer to do it. It is not needed to get into the nursing program, that's why it isn't a time issue.
Thanks in advance for your input!

Are you starting nursing school in the fall? If so, I would definitely wait and take it over the summer. I took micro over the summer and I'm glad that I did. I liked being able to focus on just nursing courses during the school year.
If you are not starting yet, or not accepted into a program yet even, I would take it as soon as you can! If you haven't been accepted yet, doing well in micro will help you out with admission. Either way it's good to get it out of the way as soon as you can. One less thing to worry about. Good luck : )

I am at the tail end of a seven week micro course this summer and its been much more work than I anticipated. Everyone told me its not so bad but when you get into the genetics of prokaryotes and immune system processes with microbes the terminology can get very overwhelming. I'm usually an A student and I am working my buns off to keep my B+. If I were to do this again I would take it over a semester and aim for an A. It's a very important course for health field related students. Just my two cents.
