Thinking about Maryville U

Wondering if anyone has any current feedback on Maryville University's FNP program. I have read mixed reviews, just wondering if there are any currently enrolled students out there that have an opinion about them. I am looking into various online FNP schools, and have been talking to an enrollment adviser for MU.

I am currently enrolled in the BSN to DNP (FNP Concentration) and I can tell you the school is so worth it, it requires a lot of reading and papers but I love it and I just finished my first class with an A, so it's doable.

Are you still happy with your program at Maryville? shadygirl?

Have you had any problems finding preceptors?

Yes, I actually have 7 weeks left to finish my program. It's not different from other online schools where you have to find your own preceptors, overall, I can tell you that I have had a positive experience.

You find your own preceptors and it's better you start looking for your preceptors before starting the program, I have had to use my contact where I work and I have also used the ENP network to find my preceptors. Maryville does not help you in that aspect, let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Shaygirl, I really hope you will answer my query as I am about to apply for the BSN to DNP program (PMHNP concentration) in Maryville University. Do you think it's possible for someone to retain their full-time work (40hrs/week) and be in this program? I would love to work and go to school at the same time. Thanks for your time :)
