Thinking about Delgado nursing program

I am a mother of two and thinking about starting college again at 30 years old, but so scared. I want to go through the nursing program at Delgado but still have to get pre-reqs first. I know this is gonna be a long journey. I'm scared about juggling time between kids and their homework and trying to study and do my homework. I feel like I forgot everything from high school especially math. Anybody in same boat? Is it really hard? Need advice.

I am now in the nursing program at Charity. I am 31 with 4 kids. It isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, but anything worth having is worth the difficulty. You can do it.

Welcome! and Good luck!!!

To you two from LA, I am at a nursing school in Dallas. We recieved about 20-25 nursing students from Charity/Delgado so they could finish out thier last semester. I didn't realize that it was thier choice to leave.(Meaning that there are ppl still there attending classes) Glad to have them though. Wish you two the best of luck!

Hello girls, I am 27 and am about to start the Delgado C.C. pre.req. and all also. I totally understand! Although, I do not have any children I do have epilepsy which I too am worried about affecting my dreams for numerous reasons. You will do great!Just go for the courses and encourage your children to utilize the help their school provides/ make study groups etc. while you are unavailable. You may feel guilty, however this will be short lived while making a better life for yourself and your children! I hope to see you around!!!
