The Sutter Program through SCC...lottery?

Does anyone know if the Sutter program through SCC (or is the SCC program through Sutter?) is a lottery or if they select students based on merit? I'm guessing it's a lottery because it's a community college, but this year they added an essay component...so now I'm not sure.

Thanks!

Here's the link for the Sutter program. All the info you need to know is on there.

They have "selection criteria" and you get ranked based on that, so, it's based on merit, experience, etc. Heard their selection process is hard but I've known someone that's gone through it and they loved it. She didn't get in the first time she applied, but got in the second time.

Good luck!

I have a friend who is in the program right now and she loves it!

She said it's VERY time consuming but all nursing programs are.

She had gotten in once then backed out...reapplied and got in again...how lucky!

Thanks a lot for the link...for some reason I was being very Google-deficient and not able to find anything.

Application deadline is Monday...keeping my fingers crossed!
