Thanks to VA Nurses

I just wanted to post a note here to the VA nurses, especially any at the Tampa, FL VA hospital or NPR Clinic to say thank you for the excellent care my father received both over the years for service and non-service related problems and especially during his last day. He passed away a week and a half ago at the VA hospital in Tampa after going in for what was expected to be a 2 week stay for rehab. The nursing staff was very attentive, both to him and in caring for my mother's emotional needs until I could fly across country to be with her.

Over the years all of his needs were taken care of as well as could be and he never felt any were neglected. As busy as they were, they always seemed to have time to listen as when I arrived with him they all seemed to know who I was and where I had been most recently on contract!

My mom and I have already passed these thoughts on personally to the facilities involved, but since so often all one hears are complaints, I just wanted to take the time to say "Thanks!".

This is a very nice tribute to the nurses working at the VAMC all over the country. As a former VA Nurse .... I know how hard we work and I the opportunity to work with some of the best nurses in my career. Considering the volume of veterans that come through the VA system, it is amazing the work that these nurses do.
