Texas CNA Scope of Practice

Does anyone know where I can find the Texas CNA scope of practice?? We are about to redo our protocols and provide education to our CNA staff and I cannot find the scope of practice listed anywhere.

HELP!!!!

Thanks!

Sorry, but there is no Scope of Practice, because this term only applies to licensed staff. In TX, CNAs are credentialed through DADS (Dept of Disability & Aging Services) Nurse Aid Registry . The tasks they are allowed to perform are those which are included in CNA training curriculum. Employers may also train them for additional tasks, but the actual range of activities they can perform is largely determined by the licensed person who is delegating to them. For instance, the RN nursing practice rules (BON & NPA) have very specific language about what can be delegated, and under what conditions.

Hou/Tex, nailed it....... That is the answer
