Terminated.

Nurses Recovery

Published

I was terminated Friday. No meeting, nothing. Just, "With your urine screen, and the investigation, we are going to let you go." I already signed myself up for GNAPAP, and reported myself to the BON.

So, I've been applying for jobs that have nothing to do with handling medication.

1. Does the BON take forever to get back?

2. Any tips on telling potential interviews this may be happening on my license? It's mostly remote/desk jobs, dialysis, and plasma collection centers I applied to.

3. Any other tips for the wait?

Thanks so much for answering my questions.

The answers to your questions are going to be state BON specific. In California you can't work for 6 months to a year once your enter the Diversion program. You only get approval to work after you complete 90 meetings in 90 days. Then you work without narc access for 6 months to a year but no overtime, nocs or weekends. After the completion of 3 dec meetings you can work but still have to attend Aa/NA meetings. Your program will have the answers you seek.
