Telephone interview on 1/19/10

I'm kinda nervous. I have a telephone interview scheduled for a position in another state in a few days. I took 4 years off between graduating and retaking the NCLEX after I didn't pass the first time, and I know that question is going to come up. I don't know what to say! I NEED this opportunity and I don't wast to mess it up!:uhoh3:

Just tell the truth... why did you take the time off between graduating and getting licensed.

And you don't know if it's going to come up or not. Interviews are strange beasts... sometimes the obvious stuff doesn't get touched while they ask some truly goofy questions.

Just relax, be honest, and be yourself.

Prepare ahead of time for your telephone interview. Take some time to write down some important things about yourself and your experiences. Think about how you are going to answer the interview questions.

Especially important for you is to plan what you are going to say about why you took so much time between finishing school and getting your license. You need to put a positive spin on your answer and make yourself shine.

Telephone interviews aren't that bad, just relax and make sure you have something to drink while doing the interview.
