Tele vs CVU

I am a new grad and looking around for a new grad position. A hospital nearby has two different units for Tele and Cardiovascular. What is the difference between the two?

I think it depends on the hospital. A main difference I think universally would be with the CABG's, AAA's and Caths. CVU would be the first place these pts go. Whereas in tele, they've probably already pulled the temporary pacemakers and fem sheaths and you have fewer drips. Just a lower level cardiac acuity. I started in CVI and switched to tele. I found the nurses in CVU to be very territorial and rude towards new grads (horizontal violence). So I switched to tele and I love it! I'm still dealing with cardiac care and building rapport with the docs but don't have any drama! Plus I have techs in tele.
