Nursing Students TEAS

for those who have taken the teas version 5 more than once, or twice, how is/are the test/s differ from each other? Were there any repeated questions or similarities from the last?

I heard there are three versions of the teas v. Is this true?

Thanks in advance!

Yes there are repeating questions so don't let it throw you !( I noticed it the most in reading )

The first time I took my TEAS, I failed my science part by 1.7%. I was totally bummed. To get into my Nursing school, you are allowed to take the exam two times ONLY. After that, there is no chance that you can into the program. That's it, you're done. Ugh it was so stressful! But I took it again two weeks later and passed and I was accepted into the program!

But when I took the test the second time around, I did notice that there were a few questions that were similar, but I don't think that I had the same exact test. It was just has hard as the first one though. I did not find it any easier. Just make sure you go over your material until you know everything front to back. I had three different books I studied from. I bought the recommended study guide from ATI and studied from that one exclusively the first time around. The second time, I decided to get the Mcgraw Hill version along with the Kaplan version. I raised my score 10% by studying these books.

Good luck you can do it! :)

I had several of the same reading questions and a few in English. Many of the math were the same type, just different numbers. As far as the science, the first time it had tons of chemistry on it. The second time lots of questions about kinetic and potential energy. The ATI study guide did not prepare me well at all. If you have recently taken biology and chemistry you will likely do well. The test took the subjects in the guide and expanded on them greatly.

Do several practice tests for 8th grade EOG and you'll be fine.

thanks for that help! i googled and found some pdf files

I have taken the TEAS 5.0 on April and passed. The first exam which I took in Solano Community College was different from College of San Mateo. Solano's was harder than the one I took in CSM. I used 3 different kinds of reviewer: Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam, TEAS V manual which can be bought on atitesting.edu, and the McGraw Hill's 5 practice tests. What I did differently was I practiced more on reading comprehension. I took the CSM's remediation classes for TEAS such as doing Reading plus (google it), and other tutorials. If you really want to pass especially because it is your last chance please spend time reviewing. I studied 5 to 6 months 3-4 hours a day before my test date and got an 85.6%. I'm pretty sure you can do it too. If you have any questions you can email me at [email protected]
