TEAS tomorrow

I sit for my teas in 24 hours. I am nervous. On the practice ATI I scored 80-90 percent in english, reading, and math, but on the science section I scored a whopping 40% :(

Your not the only one. This is my 3rd time retaking it only because I was in the 40s in science as well. My weakness areas in the science are earth and life science along with physical science. I have used the ATi book the first few times and now Ive decided to use the McGraw Hill entrance exam book to focus on the science part. Have you ever used Khan academy. It is really good for science. I am pretty sure that you will benefit from it.

3rd time? Are you sure you're allowed to take it 3 times?

My school only allows two times in a 2-year period (this is pretty standard).

The community college where I lived allows 3 tries on the TEAS. Granted I wouldn't go to that school, but they allow 3 tries nonetheless.

I haven't taken the actual teas, only the practice exams. I am nervous, my test is in 5 hours. But I just wanna get this done. I have used khan . I struggle with chemistry... I can balance equations cause to me it's just math, but bonding, energy, etc trips me up. My practice test was a lot of chemistry. I'm good with scientific reasoning, AP ( I am an MA so took AP1 and 2 ) , biology I am okay, I mostly understand mitosis and meosis, and cell parts. I guess I am just nervous!

I wouldn't go by what only one place accepts though. If you take the test 3 times and the school you want to apply to only allows 2 in a certain time frame, you automatically are disqualified from applying to that school (or any other school that allows a very limited number of tries).

I used that school as an example. There are schools that let you take the TEAS test three times. I am not applying there for multiple reasons so it won't be an issue for me.

I'm simply saying to make sure that you (not YOU specifically, but in general) should check the restrictions on testing before taking it too many times. Where I live, 2 times is the max for all of the schools here; although this is not the same everywhere, it's best to check the requirements before taking it too many times and being disqualified from applying.

Of course. I also check everything about the school (NCLEX pass rates & if they are nationally accredited), which I why I'm not touching that community college. Can you say yikes! I always do my research.

I'm with you, when I apply to a different community college an hour away I can only take the TEAS twice.
