Can someone help me please, I'm a CNA, as well as a Med Tech,.I was thinking about going to LPN school. Looking at what all i have to do and it says something about a TEAS Test. I have not been in school sence the early 80's so talk about a little rusty in everything that would be me lol What is it? And how do i get a study guide for it. I have looked online and i think i have found it but i'm not sure i'm looking at what i should be looking at. You know i can tell you being 45 you would think someone has to be crazy to do this so late but basicly i do everything a LPN dose pass meds, do fingure sticks, assest people at times,. I can not do treatments unless it's in my scope meaning breathing or something minor Not taking away from the people who are LPNs. and who are RNs I have heard from some its very hard. Then i have heard form other nurses if they could do it i could do it. I wont be testing until jan or feb of next year.so i thought i best get started now. If someone can help please let me knowTY

Karma--take a deep breath....ahh that's better. I am also a CNA, and I advise you to complete the RN program at a community college as opposed to an LPN program. At about the same length of time, you can make much more as an RN and work many more places than an LPN:twocents:. As for the TEAS test, I just took mine and scored fairly well:yeah:. At their website, atitesting.com, you can purchase the study guide plus a practice online exam. The test consists of 4 major parts: reading, math, science, and english. Some of the science includes earth science, which was difficult for me, and the math is at about an intermediate algebra level. The reading and english sections weren't too bad. Good luck in whatever you choose!
-ER nurse to be!!!
TY so much i took your advice and started to look for a 2 yr program and it seems here in Missouri they have 2 yr bridge over programs and you must be a LPN first i have been calling colleges. and tech schools all day. We have a tech school here. and two others 30 mins away either direction. I live outside of KC 45 mins north. But i will keep on trying to find a 2 yr program the problem is location location location LOL thank you again

Hi you wouldn't happen to have the manual that you are willing to part with, for a price of course! :)
