TEAS Practice Test

I've been studying for the TEAS for almost a month now. I've done both practice tests in the study manual. I just took one of the online practice tests and scored 70% overall. Not happy. I know I need to focus on the math and science portions (mainly earth science because I haven't taken that since middle school). I think I'm going to utilize Khan Academy videos to help me with the math portions.

I've also heard that the online practice tests are a lot harder than the actual exam. Did you find this to be true?

Do you have the ATI book? I read through that and took the practice tests at the back of the book. Whatever I got wrong, I used khan academy and you tube to further explain. Also, I failed science on my practice tests and passed on the real read test. Not saying that one was harder than the other...

Yes, I do have the book. I've read it, done all the practice problems, and both practice tests in the back of the book. I've done each online practice test once. Got a 70 overall on the first one and a 61 overall on the second. I've studied a little bit every day and I'm starting to freak out a little. I don't want to do poorly on the test.

We have all been there! Just take time each day and go over material. Go back to the basics of earth science. Freaking out will only make you more stressed and not able to comprehend what you're trying to learn! Maybe look at McGraw hill book as well. That book "dumbed down" science for me. Good luck :)

I'll take a look! Thanks for the encouragement! I'm trying not to get discouraged.

i did also did the teas test in Dec last year Iowa state, had thoroughly prepared for it but time wasn't on my side thus didn't do well at all.did not do good in math and passage reading.somebody help on what/where to study because i want to redo it again soonest.feeling anxious and confused right now.:(

I am also currently studying for the TEAS. I took a week to review the entire manual and I am now focusing on areas that I need help on. I found Keshwani Prep on YouTubeand he goes through the math section in the TEAS manual and does each problem. I went through every video (there are around 40 or so) and I feel pretty confident now. Here is the link to his first video:

am also doing practice tests for English online. I found this website to be helpful for the reading section: Free Author's Purpose Practice Questions. For the science question I am watching Bozeman science and Crash Course videos on YouTube. I have three more weeks to study and I plan to put in at least 5 hours each day, every day, until I take the test. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the links Jl0202. I have to retake the Science portion, yikes! I got a 47.9 overall, and it was from Earth and Physical Science, which I BOMBED (as in 29%!) That right there failed me, sigh. I haven't been in school for oh, over 20 years, and even though I studied, what I came across was NOT what I studied..lol...

I made my appt for 3 weeks from today, so here goes!

I have the ATI manual this time (I had a different one last time).

Good luck to us all!

Earth & Physical Science is what I need to brush up on, in addition to math. I haven't done either science since the first year of high school/middle school, and I'm only 20. Still can't remember some of it...

My test is 3 weeks from today.

Good luck to us!!!!

Hi dc1994, how was your test? I wonder the practice tests from ATI website, which is $44, are they same as the practice tests in the book?

Hey! Sorry it took me so long to respond. My test wasn't bad. I scored an 80 overall. And no, the online ones are not the same as the ones in the book. They're more difficult but are VERY similar to the real test.

I understand how you feel; I studied everyday for about four months. When I took the test I freaked out on the reading part, I didn't conqure my nervous until the math section was over. As a result, I scored a 67.2% on the teas test.
