Tax information

Hi all,

anyone who knows about taxing please help....

I am a nj resident. I have worked half of the year in NJ and have a condo which i have bought beginning of last year. I took an assignment in DC in august as a travel nurse. After 3 month working i switched to local assignment with tax exemption from md in the same facility in DC. I took my own apt in md. And I took MD state tax exempt. I have not changed my residence, it is still in nj. So here is my question...1) when i file my taxes, do i need to file for nj state only...or DC and MD as well 2) do i need to leave the facily i am working after one year in dc or can i stay since i am a local traveller....

thanks

I have just been researching this myself and there's no easy answer except to say "Get a tax expert to help." There are lots of nuances, but this site was a tremendous in explaining certain potential tax implications: http://www.traveltax.com/

I also, have a question. I live in Iowa and took a travel nursing job in Seattle, WA for four months. I took advantage of the tax advantage program offered by my company. When preparing my taxes it doesn't look like any Iowa state tax was witheld on my paychecks so it comes out that I owe quite a bit of money. Does anyone know anything about how this works??
