i'm taking the nclex for the 5th time soon. On my last try I had all 265 questions and got "near passing" in every category. I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating that is. So, the point of this post is that I was wondering what study suggestions anyone could offer? I think I know my content fairly well. Part of me thinks it's test anxiety and that maybe I should just do 50 or so questions a day to get myself used to answering questions and to keep myself from being too overwhelmed. I'm just running on fumes at this point. Please help!

Hi. First and foremost you made it this far! Making it through nursing school is a huge accomplishment now just have to work on getting those 2 letters after your name :)
How have you approached the exam so far? Have you used NCLEX study programs such as Kaplan/ATI/Hurst.. etc.. are you doing practice questions everyday and reading all of the ?s/answers fully and making sure you understand WHY you are getting the questions right/wrong? You must read ALL RATIONALES!! Even if you get them correct!!
Since you are getting the max. on the exam that means you are hovering above the line to pass and it means you must know enough information or else you would have had the computer shut off way before the max. Its really important to start the exam off on a positive note and try to answer as many in a row correct so that you are above the passing line. Then you can get every other question virtually right/wrong and still come out passing the boards.
The second time I took the exam and passed I used these two resources. I did every practice question in both books.

^^ I believe this was to this day the best investment I made. I believe this is why I passed the NCLEX!

^^ That was a good comprehensive review for me. I did not read each section but did each question in the book. Its good because they break it down by sections and have good rationales. I had this through nursing school so they have came out with a new edition but I thought this worked just fine/ its cheaper!
YOU CAN DO THiS! Think about how you have been studying as well.. make sure you have no distractions.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Really focus on the rationales..WHY did you get this wrong WHY is this the answer.. I passed on my 5th attempt and went up to 265 one time before then...near passing level on almost everything. Word of advice though know your herbal drugs, the weird ones used to stimulate the brain, saw palmento, ginkko, all those other ones that sound like they're made up lol. Those were the majority of my drugs and by the grace of god I finally passed. Praying for you! You got this!
Thanks so much nurserylove! I'm gonna take your advice and pick up that delegation book since I think that's my biggest issue when taking the test.
