I'm using Saunders Comprehensive review 5th Ed. (The big yellow book) and I'm just wondering how effective was it for you people who have read it. I also have the NCLEX-RN Exam Cram book (yellow and blue) but that has shorter readings. Saunders is like outline format and there's a lot more to read. I was just wondering do I read the Saunders book cover to cover or skip around?

In my experience, Saunder's questions are easier than what you'll find on the actual test. Kaplan questions are more difficult than the actual test.

I know a lot of people that used ONLY Saunders and passed. If you need to learn content I would definitely go with Saunders.

If there are some areas you are strong in you could skip around but I would suggest doing each chapter and if you are familiar with the material then treat it more like a review and spend less time on that particular chapter.
Kaplan is only good if people have a very strong foundation. Without the foundation Kaplan is pretty useless.

Saunders has an assessment test that you can take before studying. It would formulate a study plan for you (like a calendar) based on your strengths and weaknesses.
It worked for me and was the only book I read for the test. I passed my exam last Friday.
