TAKING NCLEX AGAIN!!!!

i do not know what to say...

i was mad, sad, angry, felt worthless when i got the official results in the mail= FAIL....

i am planning to take test over again, i honestly do not know what to do differently...

i took review courses, i used like 5 different review books:

1. Excell Review- review course

2. Martin Review- review course

3. Saunders

4. Kaplan

5. Lipincott

6. Hurst

7. Pearson

8......................... and other things

I did like 3,000-5000 questions total... i was getting 80- 90%% scores overall...

I do not know what went wrong....

When i went to take the test, I froze... I had that moment of is this for real...

I felt like i was in a dream... after the test was done at 85 questions, i woke up from my dream...

What do i do???

planning to take test again... end of February or beginning or March...

thanks...

I also failed the nclex exam and was upset but what can you do just move on and try again. I am not sure when I will register again and having so many people at work asking when I am taking it doesn't relieve my stress. I believe when the time is right we will get there.Don't lose hope I am in the trenches with you.:nurse:

Praj...I see that you've listed Kaplan as one of your reviews, have you taken the on line classroom reveiew? I hear that it's very good and that's what I'm going to take and then re-take the NCLEX as well. You may have test anxiety, that's exactly what I have! I swear, I felt the same way when I first took the NCLEX. It was horrible. However, you can do this......you really can. I wish you luck and please, do not give up! :)

OP- Sounds like you already know what you did. You froze. You know the material, you just suffered from test anxiety. Get back on the NCLEX horse and take it again. Add relaxation techniques into your study routine.

Wishing you the very best. You can do it!!!

Parveen, you actually did more reviewing than I had. I suggest that you master Kaplan's test taking strategies. I read it over and over until it has become like a formula in every question I do.

I Know how you feel I have to retake it too! I suffered with test anxiety! I'm speaking in past tense because I'm not CLAIMIMG it anymore! We have to stay PRAYED up and FOCUSED!!!! I went to ST.JUDE and was given this prayer. I was told to read it before the test: Prayer for Students:

O humble St.Joseph, The Holy Spirit guided you in your studies and helped you through your examinations.CALM me when I become nervous and confused, especially when iam taking my exams. Let me never measure my self-worth according to the grade I receive but rather according to the effort I give. HELP me to remember the importance of my studies but most of all, remind me to use what I learn in service of God and my brothers and sisters-in-Christ. Keep me always vigilant to the fact that all things come from God and areto be used for His glory. Amen.

WE WILL PASS! TRUST & BELIEVE!!!! I DO!!!

Does anyone have any information regarding " Making room assignments" I need clarification on this!

if anybody has any review items, would be great...

thanks,

parveen....

I'm sorry to hear that...my sis failed at 75questions too. She took the NCLEX back after 45 days and passed at 75questions. Never loose hope. Even if you failed the exam the 1st time, Kaplan still give you another 3months of review to practice. My advice, don't wait too long to take it over. Goodluck!

i did kaplan review online questions and saunders. I passed my first time with 75 ?s, good luck you can do it!

i just failed my exam today. Feeling so awful but all of your comments were inspiring. Going to reschedule ASAP.

Thank you all for your comments on here. They are helping me through the agony.

I am in my second semester of nursing school and I start pediatrics next semester. I heard pediatrics is hard. Lots of growth and development, does anyone have some good sites I can go to.
