where to take the NCLEX ?

Where did you take the NCLEX? Was it in a noisey building, comfortable, or hard to find?

Also , when you fill out your application, do you have to decide where you want to take it or do they decide for you? (I'm sure I will find out all this info in my vocational development/seminar class next term... but I'm impatient :p )

Any information on your experience is welcome.

I took mine in Iowa City. It was close to the mall. It was easy to find and it was comfortable. Noise....well I'm sure it is the same everywhere. I kind've got annoyed by the clicking noise of the mouse from other people that were taking it with me. Your in a quiet room, but you can hear that. You can decide where you want to take it. I know you can do it in Iowa City, Davenport, and I can't remember the 3rd one sorry! If you have anymore questions just let me know. I will try to answer them.

I am in Illinois, but just wanted to menton...

When I took my boards, they gave me foam ear plugs to use in case I was distracted. You can always call the testing center and ask if they offer ear plugs or if you can bring your own.

Be sure to wear a sweatshirt or sweater - they make you take off your jacket before you go in. And no water bottles.
