take down adhesion???

I Googled it but couldn't find anything specific. Basically this guy has a whole bunch of thing wrong with his abdomen (Crohn's disease, ileostomy, ventral hernia)

I think this is the same a "lysis of adhesions". Adhesions are internal scar tissues. When they do a "take down" of them, they are lysing them or releasing the adhesion or scar tissue. What happens is these adhesions or scar tissues form around some of the organs and blood vessels and over time become constricted and can cause a whole bunch of problems from bowel obstructions to vein strangulations.
