TABE QUESTION

I am interested in becoming an LPN. The TABE test is in a couple of months. Is there anyway to pass if I never took algebra or geometry? They want you at a 12th grade level on the test. Is it unrealistic to be able to pass it?

Thanks

Mary

hi, i just took the tabe test two weeks ago. i'm not trying to go a lpn school but i needed to take it for a scholarship that i'm applying for to help me with my rn program cost. the requirement was also to score 12th grade level. i was totally freakin out when i was preparing but when i actually sat down for the test, i couldn't believe how easy it was. i just got my scores in the mail yesterday and scored 12.9+ (which is the highest grade level you can score) in all three areas that i was tested on (math, reading and language).

it's really not a hard test at all. i've always been terrible at math but the math was very simple. basic arithmetic and geometry. two of the sites they recommended us going to for sample questions is www.testreview.com and www.mathisfun.com. good luck.

I took this test last wed....SOOOOOOOO easy. just very BASIC math and they even gave us calculators. Please do not stress over this test- it IS NOT on a 12th grade level, at least mine wasn't. Not even close

I took the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) in 2004 during the process of attempting to get admitted into an LVN program. Although math is my weakest subject area, I had no problems passing the math section on the TABE. If I am recalling correctly, the math portion included fractions, decimals, and percentages.
