So I am currently a senior in high school and am about to receive my associate's degree in biology. I want to go into a career in nursing. When applying for scholarships of universities, I am asked what degree I will be going for. I'm not sure if I should put an associates or bachelors degree in nursing. I will have already earned an associates in biology but I am not sure how to continue on from there. If I have to do an associates, it will make my current degree pointless. How do I go on?

I think you should put Bachelors because if you plan to work in a hospital many hospitals(where I live) are starting to only hire nurses with a bachelors degree. My teacher said eventually Nurses with a associates degree are going to have to go back to school to get there BSN anyway.
also you might not have to take some of the Pre-reqs required to enter a nursing program. Since you already have a associated degree in Bio, some of those credits might be transferable. For example if you taken a&p 1 and 2 or Microbiology, you probably wont have to take them again.
Maybe you should start look at Nursing schools you want to attend and see what classes you need to apply.
I'm sure you would have some of the classes already.
I think is great that you already have an associates degree in Bio! that's awesome!!
Good luck
