Hello Everyone,
I graduated in May with my Associates in Nursing. I was so excited to get out of school so I can start working as a Nurse. I took my Nclex in July and I didn't pass with 78 questions. I was crushed, depressed, you name it. I did take Kaplan and I had a hard time trying to get the stategies and when to assess and implement. Anyway, I took the Kaplan again, and the teacher this time really broke it down and explained everything. I studied over and over and took the Qtrainers 1-7 twice. I was getting 80's and 90's and was so confident.
I recently took the Nclex again, and to my surprise, I did not pass again with 226 questions. I thought I was doing so well on the exam. I recognized the questions and I was really great at priority questions and I had a majority of that. Now, I'm really depressed, stressed, and I don't want to give up on nursing because I love it. However, I have come to ask myself, "WILL I EVER PASS THIS TEST?".
Now, I have just joined this thread and I have been reading how GREAT Suzanne's study plan is. I do have the Saunder's book, but never used it because everyone was telling me how good Kaplan was. I'm ready for a change, and I'm ready to give this a 3rd try and PASS this time..
Suzanne, wherever you are, PLEASE HELP ME.. I don't think my heart can take another FAILURE.. I'm willing and able to do whatever it takes to pass this test, because this is what I was born to do.. If you need my email address, just let me know. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...

Hi,
If you look at the stickys there is one called "first tip of my study guide" or something like that. Do that and then send Suzanne a Pmail. The directions are on the sticky.
Thank you for that. I will read the sticky and start that. However, I am confused about the PM. How do you PM somebody? I'm a little lost on that..

When you read the sticky you will see on the message from Suzanne that her name is underlined. Click on her name and you will get the option of sending member a private message which is also known as a pmail.

Hi Keke,
I totally know how you feel! I, too, have failed the exam twice. And I, too, was so eager to start working. I am currently working on Suzanne's plan. How are you doing with it? Any tips? I feel so stupid. I feel like i cannot remember anything that i have read from the Saunder's. this is my 2nd week of doing the questions and I am not doing so well.
Anyone else who has done Suzanne's plan have any tips? Financially, I cannot prolong work any longer than the end of the month after i write the exam. I'm quite stressed out and feel like i am getting more and more depressed and anxious regarding my nursing career. HELP ANYONE!

Hello Fashionguru,
I have just started Suzanne's plan as well. When I take the quiz first I usually score about 70 or below. Then I read the chapter and off course score higher.. Like you, at time I feel like I have forgotten information, and can't remeber anything.. I said this to say, you are not alone, I think the point is just to keep moving along.. You can send me a PM if you wish and we can discuss progress, failure and most importantly cheer each other on. But don't dispair...You are not alone!!

KEKE,
I read this and realized I could have written it. I too have taken Kaplan twice. I really thought I "GOT IT", and used all the techniques they taught. I have failed the NCLEX twice. I had 190 questions first time, 230 questions second time, and felt good coming out of the test second time. I just took it 1.5 weeks ago... and I'm so confused. I graduated in May, and I'm just so lost.
I'm not sure what to really do next. I too plan on trying Suzanne's plan next. I just ordered the new edition of the Saunders book. I hear it follows the 2007 test plan, so that is my next step.
I plan to retest AFTER Christmas and the New Year, even though I can retest on the 20th of December... So... I just want to say to you...
HANG IN THERE! We will be RN's... And we will be stronger, more amazing nurses because of our trials...
PM if you want. Let's keep in touch...
