Suspension?

Hey y’all. What warrants the BON to suspend a nurse’s license? Does it have to be severe? Just wanting to hear from some who have had this and why. The ones who have - did they do it right away or wait? Guess I’m just scared because I had a nurse tell me to most likely expect suspension since day diverted meds .

Thank you in advance!

My license was suspended due to diverting meds. They served me papers saying I could NOT practice and it took a week or two to show on my license as suspended. On the papers it said if I complied with all of my states diversion programs (IPN) requirements it would be unsuspended. Once I complied with all of IPN’s requirements (treatment etc) my license has been unsuspended and I’m back at work. Stressful process but the quicker you begin everything the sooner it’ll be over!

Gotcha. I’m just wondering if I will have to repeat inpatient since I didn’t complete it. I stayed 60 of 90 days/ yeah stupid I know . But then I complete an intensive outpatient program. Now if I went to tx I wouldn’t have a diagnosis because I’m clean and I bet insurance wouldn’t pay for it either
