Hello all,

I was wondering, from those who have applied to or have been accepted into Southern Union's nursing program recently, roughly what your credentials were. Right now, my GPA is the only thing I think that I have to worry about. I'm not sure exactly what it is but it is below a 3.0. My ACT score is a 26 and I have completed all prerequisite nursing classes. I have never attended Southern Union so I do not have the priority points. Do you believe there is any chance I have of getting in? I am extremely anxious because of my GPA and I was wondering if this was a problem for anyone else.

I applied last semester for the current ADN program for spring 2017. I did not get accepted but was put on alternate. I am applying again for the fall.

I transferred from another university so I did not get my quality points either. Your GPA actually doesn't matter until they're trying to rank the last 20 or so applicants (alternates). I had a 2.7 gpa.

However, the cut off score for this semester was 39 points total. I had a 39 but was put on alternate ranked by your GPA score. My act was a 29.

Also I'm pretty sure this semester, they're ranking people based on individual sections of your ACT score after they pick the first 55-60 applicants. So I wouldn't worry about your GPA, ,but rather your ACT score

That makes me feel better! I am so anxious waiting for the letter to come in the mail. I know they won't be sent out for at least another two weeks but I can't help but check every day. Hopefully we both hear good news soon!

I applied for Fall '17 I have 39 points and I've still not received my letter I'm so anxious!! :nailbiting:

I applied with 33 points! I wasn't able to get the extra 10 pts. I'm trying to stay positive, but not sure whether I'll be considered either!
