Tweety glad there have been no effects from the steroid

Stars I felt the same way about Top Gun when I tried to watch it recently. One of those movies I liked when I was younger but not now

Ado quiet days can be nice, although I find I have a problem slowing down

NJ22 that does tend to happen with many organizations, they keep asking for more time

Rain stopped in the morning so I was able to get outside, though few birds out.  Got the crock pot chili started before I had to go to the dentist.  Proved uneventful, came home then had lunch with dad. Put the crock pot chili away and did the dishes and exercised.  Realized I mis-red the recipe and used 15oz tomato sauce rather than 8oz, so it will be saucier that I had planned

Today have church, will be the reader today.  Will try and get laundry done prior to church.  After church will take the train into the city to meet my friend J for lunch

Going to be a little cooler today, upper 50s, don't think any rain is expected

Good morning!

Hope you have a good day Joe.

J22, it does seem like you spend a lot of time with this gardening club.  Do you garden much at home this time of year?  Of course here in Florida people can garden all year long.  I might try and learn some when I retire.

Ado, you deserve a do-nothing day.

As I expected the time change threw me off.  After feeding Waffles at 6AM (which my body thought was 5AM), I took my meds and went to sleep again and didn't wake up in time to go to yoga at 9:00.  This time change seems to throw me off more than the other.

It's the height of our "season" and apparently the beaches are crowded this weekend with Spring breakers and other tourists, snowbirds and locals so I'll pass on my plans to go as parking is hard to come by.  We are not a big Spring break destination like other spots in Florida but we do get some.  Will stay in and watch a movie instead and maybe go to the beach during the week.  Those at the beach will enjoy some very nice warm weather.

Since I've been sick I've been monitoring my weight loss almost daily and I gained three pounds since yesterday.  LOL.  Now I'm hoping the steroids don't make me gain weight.  My weight has been stable the last month after steady losing weight without trying.

Yep, it is Sunday and the only clock not reset is in the kitchen. I am going up to set it to the correct time and then I am going to MAKE myself start in making the beef stew. <RIGHT NOW.> I REALLY MEAN IT!! ?

The sun out but the wind keeps it from feeling warm. I have the luxury of ignoring the clock most of the time, and that is fine with me. For much of my hospital career it seemed liked time was always the driving factor, and I am glad I am out of that. I go out in a bit to do some clean up. Because we don't get much snow, there is something to do in the garden year round. This time of the year is mostly cleaning up debris from the trees, and pruning before the leaves emerge. dd asked for help to build some garden beds, but I don't know when and dh is hinting that he needs to do a zoom meeting this afternoon for the gardening ED team. I finally told him I think he needs to set some boundaries and take a day off from it. I don't know if he heard me or not.

Oh lawsie! The squirrels have ganged up and are TORTURING poor little Tinker by going back and forth outside the back door. I can't let her out, because they would lead her into the great beyond. She already tries to climb trees after them. She has such a shrill bark, and in between the shrieking, she growls fiercely. The squirrels are NOT impressed and seem to know she is no threat to them. Maybe all the barking and growling will wear her out and she'll sleep. Of not....
