Tweety sounds like a pleasant day

Stars glad you're getting settled in there

Dianah this was a mushroom and green onion quiche. The rain held off

Went to the Arboretum yesterday for bird watching but wasn't there long, mosquitoes were pretty aggressive. Later had lunch with dad and made the quiche, which still took a fair bit of time despite using a frozen pre-made crust. Found time to do the laundry and exercise.

Today will go to church and then meet my friend N in the afternoon and go to the zoo. Will exercise later if I'm not too tired after all the walking

Will be similar to yesterday, mid to upper 80s with no rain expected

Good morning!

Joe, sounds like a full day. Enjoy!

Dianah, hope you slept better.

Waffles would not let me sleep past 5:30 AM so I got up. I'm working tomorrow so I'll just stay up. I went to bed early enough.

Will go to hot yoga today and if I do only that I will feel accomplished. Will make some pasta recipe for meal prep.

It's so humid here, as is our normal for this time of year, our "feels like" is always 100 or greater. It was only 89 yesterday afternoon when I mowed and it "felt like" 100. Yes it did.

Mostly what I do outside is walk the dog around in the bits and pieces of lawn, There are so many trees and little bushes and a backyard with a fence and the stretch of grass that is a 4-5 ft gentle slope to the water's edge. It is sufficiently interesting to Tinker, what with the Muscovy ducks and a few mallards who drop by every-so-often. The darting dashing little lizards are so fast, they always surprise her, and when she puts he nose down to smell a little lump of something, and it turns out to be a tiny frog that jumps away, she is always startled! It's kind of funny because she instantly loses track of whatever it was and there are plenty of them everywhere! And we have seen ONE squirrel which seemed to be busy transporting organic material from one tree, across the yard and disappearing into the bushes. It thoroughly cussed her out when it had to stop on a tree midway in its task.

Guess I'll take her out and let her explore some more. Then I will go out to see about where the bank is that I have to go to tomorrow, and locate that slippery little DUNKIN shop. My Keurig will be here on the 14th so then I'll be able to make my own coffee at will.Time to stop chatting and get dressed and go on with my day.

But first I have to consult with S+J about WHERE in the tiny "upside down Y" of driveway. PODS just texted me to confirm delivery.

The pickup truck will have to be moved to make room for the POD when it is delivered on the 14th. I guess there is enough room in the garage to pile my boxes here and there. That means more lifting and grunting and sweating to off-load the thing, and then there will have to be one of the nieces or someone to help me dismantle this big bed from the room where I am sleeping. I will be happy to get my own bed back; it being a twin instead of a queen bed here will give me more room in my room! And in my own arrangement!

We are once again having the regular afternoon thunderstorm; nice because it dumps the humidity and makes it more tolerable outdoors for a little while.

I went exploring today, up and down and across I-17, back and forth to see what is where. Found a HALLMARK store, all of which they got rid of in NC long ago, so I wandered through it for a while. Then I went to a PUBLIX for the CORRECT, better g'ale, with Schweppervessence! They have a huge deli with lots and lots of choices for pre-made fresh meals of all kinds, salads and just SO MANY choices of almost anything someone feels like eating. I also found out, and was happy to see that BOTH my banks I used up in NC are sitting side-by-side, so no traveling required between them 'cept a short walk! Makes my banking business a piece of cake!

I wish you could see J's Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, Wolfie, and Tinker playing together! In three short days they have become real PALS! They get along GREAT and chase each other back and forth stealing each others' toys, and gang up barking at the 2 cats, so we are always saying, "LEAVE. THE. CATS. ALONE!", sometimes in unison! The cats, naturally, hold the dogs in contempt.....after they jump up on something where they are away from the dogs. No hissing, just THE distainful LOOKS those cats give them, you know!

I am sooo relaxed and happy to be through with she-whose-name-shall-not-be-spoken. I don't think step-dgt knows anything at all about what has transpired. BiL's lawyer said NOT to tell her anything until the house has already been sold and is occupied by new owners. Apparently she COULD have decided to make a stink because as hubby's only heir, she might be or might have been able to say she should get half of the sale price of the house. But once the house is sold and the nsg home is using the $$ for Nannie's upkeep, step-dgt will have no recourse, especially since she hasn't got the dough to make a lengthy COURT deal battle and deal with multiple lawyers to try to get it back for her. I don't know if it will ever occur to her to call me on my cellphone, so who knows? I ain't worried, as she has no idea where I am, and neither the il's nor I could have bought the house for ourselves, so says the lawyer; so Nannie is the only one who wins out and she doesn't even know it! (But if she did, and had any of her 'original mind', she would be QUITE self-satisfied.)

So that's today's blathering for now....
