Hi Tweety and Stars

Yesterday was busy. Was out bird watching in the morning. Was home for a bit then caught the train downtown. Met B for lunch at a Thai place and then went to the contemporary photography museum. Found it easier to comprehend then other types of contemporary art, although the museum was smaller than expected and we were done in a half hour or so. So we checked out some nearby sculpture and tried a Kazhak coffee house, which we both found disappointing. B because his cold brew tasted odd and me because they had nothing except fruit juice that was decaf

Today will be quieter, just ushering and church and cooking and exercise. Find my schedule changing with the new cat. Normally I meditate in the mornings after getting up, but he has a lot of energy then and wants to play. Since cats don't go for walks and need play as exercise I do that in the mornings instead. Will have to start shifting meditation to later in the day

Going to be in the upper 70s today

Another day of being showed around Jacksonville and adjoining cities/towns. It is a large city with a lot of tall buildings full of business and others just empty and waiting,....and a lot of beautiful old, empty, crumbling houses begging to be purchased and renovated. I can see this becoming a vibrant city, if only more people will be willing to invest in it and make it so. Anyway, it was interesting and I did see three or four of the buildings that are for low income elderly people (LIKE ME?? !!) Including the Jacksonville Towers bldg that Tweety sent me a link to. Subsidized according to income. I suppose I should start getting info regarding what is required to make an application (or two or three) as the waiting list for a place my friend J's friend got into was TWO YEARS! Yikes.

And we toured Jacksonville Cemetery which is HUGELY HUGE, with very old, middle and brand new sections and more HUGE trees thn I could count, and yet still more spaces for more burials. I'd say natural attrition in the Senior apartments, well, let's just say there are lots of spaces available for those who will have to move on and reveal an apartment for ME, once they meet their maker. I hope y'all don't think that is too crass for me to have posted. I am kinda punchy and tired right now, so that may not have been the nicest thing to suggest. I apologize. I just don't really feel like hanging in this LIMBO for another two years.

Prolly I should get off of here now and rest up for tomorrow when it might be possible we are going to see that Oddessy (or however it is spelled) movie with Matt Damon in it.

Good evening.

Worked an overtime shift today and it was hell. A tech and I signed up to work extra because my unit was short and they pulled a nurse and a tech to work elsewhere and short staffed us anyway. I really need to shake that negativity off.

Stars the senior low income housing here has waiting lists. The wealthy income continuing care communities also have waiting lists of many years. And the only way to get a spot is someone dies or goes to a nursing home. Just facts. Hope something reveals itself to you soon.

Hello all!

Agree, No Stars, get that request in ASAP, in case of a long wait. Rest up.

You too, Tweety: rest up! Sorry it was so crazy today. Off tomorrow??

Joe, sounds like a good day.

I didn't sleep well, so slept late (when I finally fell asleep). Dh woke me and we fixed lunch and watched an episode of Lewis. Dh was then busy in the afternoon, changing strings on his upright double bass, and then making some fine adjustments. Also, we had asked youngest ds about my ongoing issues with the Windows updates. He and dh did a few things on my system (dh taking ds's suggestions as to what to do next). Problem is still there. They decided to tackle it again next weekend. I had a quiet afternoon in The Cave (as I call the bedroom). Tomorrow I will get a few vitamins at the HFS, and probably a few items at the grocery store.

Have a good evening!
