Summer 2012

what classes are you guys taking in the program? if your not taking classes during the summer, what are your plans?

i am taking med/surg i and ii, as well as the clinical portions for both. i am stressed considering this is an 8-week semester, as opposed to our usual 15-week semesters. i am pretty much sure i will be living and breathing nursing school even more than i did during my first semester! :p

------ is the only instructor you will have first semester. She'll teach NF and Drug Cal. I am not sure if you are allowed to record lectures or not. No one in my class asked her. We were allowed to bring our laptops and whatnot to take notes as she lectured, but not sure about a tape recorder! :)

My nursing classes don't begin until the Fall semester. This summer I'm going to take my Anatomy II and that will be the end of my pre-reqs.

Girl in my nursing program we have to do 15week courses in 3 weeks you will be fine. . . . Full time

well, my first quarter i took a&p, nursing and healthcare i, and fundamentals of nursing, and 1 clinical day with 2 hours clinical prep. second quarter- med-surg i and pharmacology, and two 9 hour clinical days with 2 hours clinical prep. quarter 3- maternal child nursing and mental health, and 3 9 hours clinical days with 2 hour clinical prep. fourth quarter- med- surg ii and nursing and healthcare ii with 2 10 hour clinical days with 2 hour clinical prep.

*each quarter was 3 months*

it will go by very quick for you! it will be over before you know it :)
