Summer Studying

Anyone else here doing some summer studying? I'll be going into my last year of my BSN program. So far I've gotten away with just studying for tests and not really retaining anything.

I want to be a great nurse, so I'm buckling down and have been studying the past week or two. I'm trying to prepare myself not only for the exit HESI and NCLEX in spring, but also so I'm as prepared as possible for role transition in the spring and eventually when I start working.

Anyone else doing some summer studying? What are you working on? Or why not? Just looking to chat. :)

I have a full courseload this trimester because my college loooooves to keep us working ;). I'm ok with this though - it means I'll finish my BSN sooner!

How long is your program? We do semesters. My program only runs in Fall and Spring and doesn't allow us to take nursing classes during the summer.

I'm doing trimesters, too. 15 weeks a class so we get about 2 weeks off in between spring/summer and summer/fall and then 4 weeks between fall/spring. It's not much of a break considering I am working full time and have Saturday clinicals, but it is *only* 2 years. Gosh I miss summer!! and weekends!! and breaks!! :)

2 years, but once I'm done I'll have my BSN :)

I haven't been studying but I need to. I'm also graduating next Spring, in an ADN program though. I feel like I've been letting my brain relax too much this summer!
