Suggested CNA Programs?

Well, it looks like I will not be going to LVN school anytime soon due to budget cuts and just bad timing. I have WIA funds, but the workforce center only want me to go to a CAS (community adult school) or a ROP (regional occupational center) to be cost effective. Either the classes are full, the program has been eliminated or the next program will not start until next year.

So, I have to ask does anyone know of a good CNA/HHA program in the Greater L.A. area?

    Hmm - big issue out this way (San Bernardino-Riverside) is that the CNA programs are usually full-up/eliminated/twice a year as well. Heard good things about CRY(Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa)-ROP's CNA class (my niece took it), and I'd think twice about the Red Cross - Inland Empire class (I took this one); other than that, really no good or bad on any of the local CNA classes/programs. Once you've got your certificate, getting into HHA class is usually pretty easy - lots less competition.

    Go to the department of public health for california's web site. It took me some digging but there is a pdf file listing of approved schools to teach cna by city and county. Call each one. That's what I did.
