Studying Tips? (:

Hello! So, Today I FINALLY received my test date for my state certification! *dances* And was wondering if you guys would share some of your studying tips? :) Anything in particular really help you in preparation for your test? Also, how long did it take you to complete the skills portion of the exam? Thanks so much for any and all help! I'm kind of nervous but SUPER excited!! :cheeky:

-Study the skills sheets and practice the steps to get them in your head and be able to have the feel of the flow of them. Practice on anyone that will let you. Memorize all the bold printed items. They could be fails if you miss them.

-On youtube there is 4yourcna. They go through all the skills. They do a great job at showing you what each skill should look like.

Talk through your skills while you are doing them so that the person giving you the test will not miss you doing something.

If you make a mistake while testing don't let it rattle you and keep focused and push through it. Unless it is a major item you are allowed a few mistakes most of the time and still pass. Really it all depends who you get. Some are more easy going, and others are more harder about things.

Good Luck tell us when you pass :)

I PASSED!! I am so incredibly happy and relieved! This site has helped me out so much, you all are wonderful! :inlove: Now to go for RN! (eventually! )

Congrats!! I am very happy for you.
