Studying for TEAS V test

Published

Hi ladies and gents!

I recently purchased the ATI book to study for the TEAS V test and I am wondering if this will be a good choice to study from. I have looked at taking a prep class, but there are not any that are going to be going on for quite some time. I am hoping that this book will be what I need! TIA.

The book is what I used. I read through everything, did the problems, and then took the practice test in the back of the book. Once you grade the practice test, there is a section that tells you what topic each question is and how that answer is the correct one. If you see a trend then you know what topics need improvement for you to concentrate on. I used this method for about 1.5 weeks and got an 88%.

Sounds like this is a good method that I should be able to use. I am excited to get started.

I used the ATI Study Manual and it was great. There is also THIS article which lists everything you should study for.

I had test form B and not everything on that list was on the test, but everything on my test was on that list.

Not every school uses the same forms, so I can't really tell you what I personally studied since it may not be the same test you get.

If there are any areas of the science or math portions you don't understand, Khan Academy is a great resource.

The TEAS practice book is great. Go through it and answer all of the practice questions and to the practice exams. But go a little further. it will cost you 100 dollars, but BUY THE PRACTICE TESTS ON THE ATI WEBSITE. I swear that thats what got me to get into the nursing program at my school.
