Studying for CAPA/CPAN

I'm confused. You are studying for both certification exams? In any case I mostly used the purple Perianesthesia certification review questions book more than anything and passed CPAN the first time around in 2011.

I used the green Core Curriculum for reference and that was it.

I attended a CPAN review class offered by ASPAN and found it not very helpful, too general, and that it way oversimplified the actual exam.

Several colleagues of mine took it during the same testing window and most of us studied the purple questions book more than anything and all of us passed.

I use the perianesthsia nursing core curriculum, you can get it on amazon.

I saw one of your previous posts and thought I should post here in hopes you will see and respond. Your previous thread was about group one and you work at a hospital in Houston that doesn't use it. Could you tell me the name please? Would you also mind sharing the name of the facility your friend works at that you mentioned in same thread...she hadn't worked in a couple years and that's my dilemma. Unfortunately group one has ruined my career and I'm lucky to get an interview. HR usually just throws out my resume. Thx so much. Blessings

I just completed my CAPA in the Spring & aced it. I went to the ASPAN review and found it very helpful,lots of the information was covered on the test. I also used ASPAN's "Certification Review for PeriAnesthesia Nursing" 3rd edition along with the Core curriculum. I tested myself with the test review book and then the ones I needed help on I used the Core curriculum to review. Good luck!

Please help me every time I take the practice test, my score is failing. I am getting discourage, I really want to take and pass the test, please give me detail advice. I am scared to take it and fail it. please help someone.....
