The way I did it was to analyze what the absolute need-to-know material was and then watch lectures and tutorials on You Tube so that I really understood the material. I'd then do practice questions in Quizlet to make sure I'd understood it. I just couldn't see sitting there reading that telephone book-sized textbook they made us buy. I can't retain information like that. I got an A so I guess it worked for me. I did that in Pharm as well.

Patho is not an easy course and from what I've seen many nursing students struggle with the concepts introduced in courses like this. The science courses are something you have to be able to understand the different systems in an easy way and put them together to see the larger picture when it comes to a patient.
