Study hours

I am just curious how many hours the average nursing student studies. Some people in my class study for only a few hours but I can literally go for 12+ hours a day (not every day, but a couple times a week). I was just wondering what other students do.

On average.....I study somewhere between a few hours a day to 16 hours (with multiple breaks!)......& of course that's not everyday either. I usually can only go a day (maybe 2) without studying - but that's when I finally clean my house!!

I try to study at least 1-2 hours each day, and on the weekend for 3-4 hours each day. If I have an exam coming up, I obviously study more, and I tend to "take a break" for a few days after. I have spent up to 12 hours on a weekend studying or working on a careplan (so time consuming!!)

jen does your last name begins with a Z?

not enough...Im very bad about studying. I study about the week before a test. alot of hrs. but other than that I dont study daily. I do alot of reading tho.

Nope, sorry...wrong jen :specs:

If I study in a group, it is 4-5 hrs in one session, then maybe an hour or two hours on my own the couple of days before an exam (I sit with my notes on the couch with my husband and peruse them while watching tv). I have read here that some people study for hours and hours every day, but I must be in a very different kind of nursing program because our exams are not that bad.

cuz the one i was talking about doesnt even need to study, shes so smart, but she still freaks out about it.

I agree with that last part. I mean I definitely study for quizzes and exams, but typically, you don't need to study for hours and hours a day for 2 straight weeks to get an A. I guess we're lucky
