Study guides

Was thinking about Excelsior College. I only need the nursing concepts classes. I was going to buy some study guides off of ebay instead of signing with a publishing company. Does anyone have a preference of any of the different companys study guides? Are any of them better than others? Thanks for the help! :)

Yeah - someone finally listening to all of us - buy off Ebay!! Do not pay full price. I personally used Chancellors and was very satisified with these. I have no knowledge of what other guides are like. Good luck

I used DLSI study guides and have found them to be pretty good. I wouldn't recommend their Microbiology study guide though. I ended up having to do a lot of my own internet searching to learn the required material. Their NC 1 - 7 were pretty good. Some of the study guides from DLSI are in text book format (they give you all the information as a text book would) and others are in 'answer the question' format. (Microbi was an 'answer the question' type) DLSI included the textbooks required for their study guide use.

I have heard mixed reviews about Rue study guides, and have heard pretty good things about Chancellors. (I can recommend Chancellor's CPNE five day workshop. It was great.)

I would recommend DLSI study guides from eBay. I just wish I knew about study guides on eBay before I purchased mine from the company! Live and learn!
