I recently enrolled in EC. I am prepairing for nc 1. I keep reading threads saying that people are using study group 101. what is this? is it a forum, a study guide, a group of students that study together or what? just wanting to be informed....
Thanks

Notes for purchase. :) http://www.studygroup101.com
They're pretty comprehensive -- like a mini study guide.

Lunah,
Did you use the StudyGroup101 study guides? How did you do yours? About how long did you have to study for each exam?
I'm currently in an LVN to RN program here in Texas and am EXTREMELY dissatisfied-- and am considering going back to Excelsior.
Thanks :-D
Dave
I took all the nursing exams (nursing concepts 1 through 7, under the old curriculum) between June and October of 2007. I spent all my time (besides work) with my nose in a textbook or notes. Yes, I really like SG101's materials -- they were very comprehensive. I'm one of those people who can study off a computer screen, so I'd just load the documents onto my laptop and read them. I also had some of the recommended textbooks, too.
How much longer is your program, Dave? What about it isn't working for you? I remember you from earlier, when you were doing EC. How far did you get with EC?
Just really upset because school is in danger of not getting accredited. Also, it's 22k and we are not bing taught, just given websites to learn from, ie. ABGs. It really is disorganized. Also, it is 4 days a week, and impossible to work. I'm really not pressed with it and feel like we are walking blind with no guidance. It's just unbelieveable.
I didn't do excelsior because I was afraid the tx Bon was going to pull a Georgia. Thankfully they didn't.
I just want to get done before July 2010. Is it possible?
Thanks for the info. Any information is helpful :-)
Ps. Sorry about short reply. The iPhone isn't the greatest for typing ;-)
